Grocery Store Visit is a small group workshop that allows you to tour a grocery store through the eyes of a nutrition expert. You will meet a nutritionist at a local food/produce store and learn the ins, outs and tricks that stores and companies use to sell items that tend to be less healthy. Learn healthier alternatives to your favorite snacks and where in the stores you are most likely to have success in purchasing healthy foods within your budget…for all types of products! This trip also provides insight into nutrition labels, and tricks companies use in disguising a product’s nutritional information.
This informative class will meet April 5, May 10 or June 15 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $22 for Parker residents or $25 for non-residents.
