The Intermediate Climbing class is designed for participants ages 12 and older who have basic climbing ability and want to improve their skills. Participants must have some experience and know basic knots and belaying technique. Students learn to advance their climbing abilities both mentally and physically. Emphasis is on developing techniques to make movement more efficient. Students will learn to "read" the route, plan their moves, and solve climbing problems. Participants are given the opportunity to succeed at more challenging routes. This new four-week program is held every Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. from May 10 through 17. Cost is $65 for Parker residents and $72 for non-residents and includes equipment rental.
The 25’ indoor rock climbing tower with an adjacent bouldering structure is located inside the Parker Fieldhouse at 18700 E. Plaza Drive. Program registration is required; please visit www.ParkerRec.com/ClimbingWall for more information or email climbingwall@parkeronline.org.
