Parker Recreation offers nutrition classes and the new Parker Recreation Cookbook to help kick off a healthy New Year!
In the one-hour class, Nutrition: Balance Your Plate in the New Year, learn the benefits of focusing on whole foods, how to create balance on your plate and tips for eating more mindfully. The class is offered Jan. 11 or Jan. 25 at 6 p.m.
Nutrition: Simplifying Healthy Meal Planning is a one-hour class focused on how to create balanced meals and plan your weekly menu without the stress and overwhelm. Register for Feb. 11 or Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. These nutrition classes cost $20 for Parker residents and $22 for non-residents.
Take away the guesswork in nutrition with the new Parker Recreation Cookbook! The book provides a month-long meal plan, including quick and delicious recipes for each meal of the day, including snacks, with an appropriate blend of macronutrients, calorie ranges, and weekly grocery lists to help you reach your fitness goals. Digital and hard copy versions are available starting as low as $35; purchase at the front desk of the Parker Recreation Center or Fieldhouse.
