Getting Started

Youth ages 13 to 15 must complete a mandatory free Fitness Equipment Orientation before utilizing the weight and cardiovascular areas within the Recreation Center and Fieldhouse. They must also complete an orientation prior to participating in any group fitness classes.

Youth ages 13 and 14 are required to be with an adult in the fitness areas while working out. After they've completed the Fitness Equipment Orientation, youth age 15 may be in the fitness areas by themselves.

Free Fitness Equipment Orientations are offered each Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. and each Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Recreation Center. Registration is  required. Orientations include a demonstration on the proper use of equipment, weight room etiquette and proper equipment safety. Get more information and register here

Specialty Fitness for Youth

Several Youth Specialty Fitness classes and camps are also offered, including Strength and Conditioning classes, Speed and Agility and more! Registration is required for Specialty Fitness classes. Get more information about specific classes and register here.

Your Personal Best for Teens

This eight-week training program is designed to increase physical activity and provide professional guidance and accountability for developing healthy lifestyle habits. This program includes one-on-one personal training one time a week with a trainer specializing in your fitness and a 10-Visit pass.
