Volunteer Opportunities with Parker Parks and Recreation
About the Program
Are you interested in serving the Parker community? We are always looking for volunteers to assist us with programs in the Parks and Recreation Department. The Parker Parks and Recreation Department hosts community and sporting events throughout the year. For everything from coaching a youth sports team to helping out at an event, we would be happy to put your valuable skills to work.
Parker Parks and Recreation utilizes Volunteer Connect Douglas County to post volunteer opportunities. It only takes a few minutes for volunteers to create an account, search for opportunities and even fill out any required forms online. Visit the Volunteer Connect Douglas County website and find all of our volunteer opportunities!
Volunteer Connect is easy to use!
Simply visit the Volunteer Connect Douglas County website and narrow your search by choosing your geographic area, area of interest, organization, etc. Any results that fit your search criteria will appear on the page and allow you to get more information or apply.
Parker Parks and Recreation has many volunteer opportunities available for everything from events like Barker Days, Fieldhouse Fright Night and our 5K/10K Run Series to our programs like Skate Night. Don’t mind getting your hands dirty? Volunteer for outdoor programs like our Adopt-a-Flowerbed, Adopt-a-Trail and more are also available on Volunteer Connect. Please note that some opportunities are ongoing while others are for specific days and times.
Youth Sports Volunteer Coaches
We are seeking coaches for upcoming youth sports programs. If you are interested in becoming a coach, contact the Fieldhouse at 303-805-6300 and ask to be transferred to the appropriate Sports Coordinator. You can also email us and we will give you all of the information needed to get started.
All coaches are required to complete a background check once every three years. To be respectful of your time and ours, please review the List of Disqualifiers (PDF) before committing to coaching.
Visit the Coach and Parent Resource page for more information. Sport-specific information will be distributed prior to each season at your coach’s meeting.
