Adopt-an-Open Space/ Street / Trail Program

What You Can Do

Through the Adopt-an-Open Space / Street / Trail Program, participants help keep the Town of Parker clean by adopting a street, open space, or trail and periodically picking up the trash in that area.

Program Details

The volunteer group agrees to pick up trash on the open space, street or trail section at least once per month April through September and once every 2 months October through March. The Public Works Department or Parks Division provides participants with orange trash bags for debris removal. Orange vests are available for those working on or near roads.

After the trash pick-up is complete and the Public Works Department or Parks Division is notified, crews are sent to collect the full trash bags on the morning of the next working day. Following the completion of the third trash pick-up, a recognition sign that lists the organization or individual that adopted the area will be posted in each designated location.
