Aquatic Therapy Training
Parker Parks and Recreation now offers one-on-one Aquatic Therapy Training sessions. Aquatic Therapy is the use of water as a way of coping with disease or maintaining health. When in water, the effects of gravity on the body are relieved, giving a sense of weightlessness. This weightlessness helps in completing an exercise program without the painful stress on joints or muscles, while also providing resistance. The warm water in the Recreation Center’s therapy pool can also stimulate the touch receptors on the skin, increasing blood circulation and releasing tight muscles. For more information about Aquatic Therapy Training or to schedule a session, email us at RecTR@parkeronline.org.
