Parker Recreation Aquatic Programs and Training

Aquatic Programs

  • Masters Swim - Practice for experienced adult swimmers (18 years and up) wanting to improve overall fitness and swimming technique.
  • Tuesday & Friday 5:45 a.m. to 6:45 a.m.
    • Sept. 15 - Nov. 6
    • Nov. 10 - Dec. 18
  • Sundays 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
    • Sept. 20 - Nov. 1
    • Nov. 15 - Jan. 3
  • Fall CARA Swim Team- Limited space available.
    • Swimmers must have a skill assessment before registering. Skill assessments will be held August 26 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Parker Recreation Center

    • Practice times will be assigned at swim assessments. All swimmers will be required to register immediately after their assessment at the front desk, there will not be independent registration available.

    • The season will run September 14 - November 11. There will be no external meets this season. All meets will consist of swimmers on this team.

  • Swim Stroke Clinics- Experienced youth swimmers focus on advanced techniques for specific strokes. Open to ages 8-18 years old.
    • Sept. 12 Freestyle 
    • Oct. 10  Breaststroke 
    • Nov. 14 Butterfly and Backstroke
    • Dec. 12 Starts and Turns

Aquatic Events

  • Pool Parties- Celebrate your birthday or special occasion at the Recreation Center Indoor Pool.
  • Sensory Swim Nights- An ideal evening for individuals who love to swim and may be affected by loud noises. All the features (minus the yellow slide) in the Recreation Center Activity Pool will be turned off.
    • Second Monday of each month.
      • 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
      • Included with daily admission or Recreation Center membership.

Aquatic Training

Life Safety Courses

  • American Red Cross Community CPR/AED and First Aid - Train to recognize and respond to a variety of emergency situations. Please note: This course does not satisfy Healthcare Provider requirements.
  • Pet CPR and First Aid - Train to recognize and respond to a variety of cat and dog related medical emergencies. Please note: This course does not provide a certification.
