Parker Recreation offers a youth track program that participates in the CARA (Colorado Association of Recreation Athletics) league. Practices are held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings in Parker during June and July. Participants ages 5 to 16 years will participate in up to five regular meets and one state meet against other recreation departments along the front range. Track meets are generally held on Saturdays. All events will be age-appropriate.
Each participant is asked to attend two of the three practices each week during this seven week season. The Parker track program is under the direction of Laurie Rice, head track coach at Douglas County High School.
2021 Track Modifications
Due to the adjusted high school track season extending through June, CARA Track looks different this year. Individual agencies are participating on their own and arranging a slightly smaller meet schedule in the south metro area. More information will be available as high school track finishes and coaches and locations are confirmed.
Please Note: CARA Track is only offered in the summer months. View our online catalog for track camps, running and the Parker Recreation Race Series.
