  1. Fencing Beginner's Day Camp

    August 1, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Mainstreet Center

    For ages 8 to 16 years, this one-day camp is designed so that participants understand the fundamentals of fencing after one full day of practice. Successful completion of this class will allow students to join the progressive fencing classes that are offered throughout the rest of the year. All necessary fencing equipment will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothes, bring a snack, a lunch, a water bottle, and non-marking tennis shoes.

  2. Youth Enrichment - Home Alone and First Aid

    August 1, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Mainstreet Center

    Does your child spend a few hours home alone before or after school? This popular and entertaining workshop is designed to prepare children to look after themselves during these times. Bring a snack (no candy or nuts.) A material fee of $15.00 is due at the first class.

  3. Recreation Center Maintenance Closure

    August 3 - August 9 @ Parker Recreation Center

    The Recreation Center will be closed all day. Memberships will be honored at the Fieldhouse and H2O'Brien Pool during this time.

  4. So Long to Summer 5K/10K

    August 8, 8:00 AM @ Salisbury Park

    So Long to Summer 5K/10K Run and Walk is a great event to grab your friends and family to celebrate the end of summer and get a great workout too! This sanctioned event is professionally timed. Prizes awarded to overall male/female finishers, as well as the top finishers in each of the following divisions for both the 5K and 10K: 18 and Under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+. There is a FREE Kids' Dash following the race for children ages 8 and under; no registration necessary.

  5. Performance Soccer Basic Skills and Goalie Clinics

    August 9, All Day @ Parker Fieldhouse

    The Skills and Goalie Clinic is designed to introduce players of all ages and skill levels to soccer. Experienced coaches work with kids to hone existing or beginning skills. Skills Clinic topics include ball mastery, first touch and turning, controlling the ball with different parts of the body, passing and receiving drills and defensive techniques. A Goalie Clinic will follow the Skills Clinic and provides a true professional goalkeeper training experience through repetition of exercises to maintain muscle memory. Topics include ball handling, diving, distribution, protection, footwork, communication and more. Both clinics use games and exercises collectively focusing on technique and fun. Players will be divided into appropriate age groups.

  6. Performance Soccer FREE Coaches' Clinic

    August 9, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM @ Parker Fieldhouse

    Performance Soccer provides a FREE coaches’ clinic that covers a variety of topics in age-specific coaching education. It includes topics such as age characteristics, components/philosophy of coaching, development pyramid/topics, role of the youth coach, team/parent management, injury care/prevention, designing your training session/progression and small-sided games. We also address the needs of the first-time volunteer coach to the more experienced coach, each looking to increase their knowledge of the game and provide a fun and educational environment for their players.

  7. Kids' TRY-athlon

    August 15, 7:00 AM @ Recreation Center

    Geared toward ages 6 to 12, this event focuses on fun, not competition. Boys and girls of all ability levels will display their skills in a series of three events: swimming, biking and running.

  8. Adult Tennis Saturday Socials

    August 15, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Railbender Skate and Tennis Park

    Meet new players and tennis friends in these fun, low-key socials during Spring and Summer. Bring snacks and drinks. The music is provided.

  9. Back 2 School Skate Night

    August 22, 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM @ Parker Fieldhouse

    Grab some friends and bring your roller skates or blades to the Parker Fieldhouse on select Saturday nights for Skate Night! Participants can skate around the inline rink, listen to great, family-friendly music and play games. This is a time designated for open skating with no hockey allowed. Skate Nights are great events for skaters of all ages or teens who are looking for something to do on a Saturday night! Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult while at the Fieldhouse. Participants must bring their own skates. Skate Night admission does not include other Fieldhouse venues.   10. Fieldhouse Maintenance Closure

    August 24 - August 30 @ Parker Fieldhouse

    The Fieldhouse will be closed all day. Memberships will be honored at the Recreation Center during this time.

  11. Youth Enrichment - Babysitting

    August 29, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Recreation Center

    Prepare for babysitting opportunities. Topics include: routine care such as feeding, bathing and diapering, safety precautions, activities, games, discipline, home hazards, common injuries and how to handle emergencies. Students will also learn infant and child rescue breathing, CPR and choking procedures. Please bring a sack lunch.
