    This is a classroom refresher especially designed to meet the needs of older drivers. It covers age-related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, rules of the road, new laws, local driving problems and license renewal requirements. Participants will pay instructor in class (check or cash).

  3. Barker Days

    This exciting Parker Recreation event welcomes hundreds of dogs with their owners and features a temporary dog park in the O’Brien Park ball field and H2O’Brien Pool, dog demonstrations, contests and dog-related vendors.

  4. Parents' Night Out

    September 12, 6:00 PM - 10:30 PM @ Parker Fieldhouse

    Mom and Dad, grab some friends and enjoy a night with adults while we watch your kids. Our talented staff will keep your kids active and entertained so you don't have to! We will host plenty of games and activities, crafts, movies, climbing and skating (must bring own skates) to keep your kids busy at the Fieldhouse. For those kids who need a little down time, we will show family-friendly films in the activity rooms.

  5. Adult and Senior Interest - Unlocking Social Security

    September 16, 6:15 PM - 8:15 PM @ Mainstreet Center

    You have paid into the system your entire life, now what? In this workshop you will learn little known claiming strategies that can potentially have a major impact in retirement. We will cover income limitations if you retire early, spouse, ex-spouse and survivor benefits, delayed retirement credits and file and suspend strategies.

  6. NFL Punt, Pass and Kick

    September 18, 5:30 PM @ Salisbury Park

    This is your chance to compete in the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition at a national playoff game in January 2016. Your first step in getting to nationals is to compete here in Parker. Top scorers may move on to sectionals in October, the team championship in December and then on to nationals. boys and girls compete in separate divisions in five age groups: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15; determined by age as of December 31, 2015. A COPY of the participant's birth certificate must be presented and left at registration. Tennis shoes only may be worn.

  8. Saturday Skate Night

    Grab some friends and your roller skates or blades for Skate Night! Participants can skate around the inline rink and listen to great, family-friendly music. This time is designated for open skating with no hockey allowed. Skate Nights are great events for skaters of all ages and teens who are looking for something to do on a Saturday night! Children under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult while at the Fieldhouse. Participants must bring their own skates; helmets are encouraged.     Meet new players and tennis friends in these fun, low-key socials. Play with a partner or come meet a new partner. Bring snacks and drinks; music is provided.

  10. Performance Soccer Basic Skills and Goalie Clinics

    September 20, 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM @ Parker Fieldhouse

    The Skills and Goalie Clinic is designed to introduce players of all ages and skill levels to soccer. Experienced coaches work with kids to hone existing or beginning skills. Skills Clinic topics include ball mastery, first touch and turning, controlling the ball with different parts of the body, passing and receiving drills and defensive techniques. A Goalie Clinic will follow the Skills Clinic and provides a true professional goalkeeper training experience through repetition of exercises to maintain muscle memory. Topics include ball handling, diving, distribution, protection, footwork, communication and more. Both clinics use games and exercises collectively focusing on technique and fun. Players will be divided into appropriate age groups.

  11. Kids' Zone - Fairy Tea Party

  12. SkateStart/720 Boardshop SkateCamp

    September 25, 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM @ Railbender Skate and Tennis Park

    After you have completed Level 1, look forward to a longer and more advanced SkateStart SkateCamp. After bringing SkateStart to the X-Games in Los Angeles last summer, Patrick O'Toole is back bringing 25 years of skateboard experience to this advanced boarding class. Young skaters get great instruction in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Master drop-ins, carve the bowls, perfect ollies and much more in this sequel to the SkateStart Level 1 class.

  13. Parker Tennis Fun Day

    September 25, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ Railbender Skate and Tennis Park

    Tennis Fun Days are a fun and energetic introduction to tennis for beginning and intermediate junior players. The USTA QuickStart format is used and tailored to the size and abilities of kids by using low compression and foam balls, smaller racquets, and shorter portable nets.

  14. Youth Enrichment - Babysitting

    September 26, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Recreation Center

    Prepare for babysitting opportunities. Topics include: routine care such as feeding, bathing and diapering, safety precautions, activities, games, discipline, home hazards, common injuries and how to handle emergencies. Students will also learn infant and child rescue breathing, CPR and choking procedures.
