Girl Power: Strength for Girls puts emphasis on gaining confidence in the weight room and on the gym floor. Each class will focus on learning and executing cardio and strength exercises in the weight room and in groups. This 6-week journey will help girls, ages 13 to 15 connect with their inner strength, both physically and mentally. Class is held each Wednesday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 24; cost is $40 per parker resident and $44 per non-resident.
Speed and Agility for Teens is designed for competitive athletes or those training for an upcoming sport. Our personalized program will help build young athletes physical foundation and improve fundamental athletic skills. Athletes will focus on injury prevention, running form, power, speed and agility. Sessions are held each Tuesday and Thursday from 5:25 to 6:10 p.m. beginning Nov. 20 for youth ages 11 to 16. Cost is $60 per Parker resident and $66 per non-resident.
Strength and condition training can improve self-esteem, help maintain a healthy weight, boost metabolism, and strengthen bones. Resistance training also helps protect joints and muscles from injury and increase endurance. In this Strength and Conditioning for Teens class, youth ages 13 to 16 will perform light and controlled movements using body weight, free weights, machines, and resistance tubing. This is a great class for beginners but all levels are welcome! This eight-week class is held each Tuesday and Thursday from 4:25 to 5:25 p.m., beginning Oct. 30. Cost is $62 per Parker resident and $68 per non-resident.
