Fencing is one of the oldest Olympic sports and youth ages 8 and up are invited to learn the mental and physical aspects of Fencing through instructor Tom, a former US Olympic Fencing team member, three-time national champion and former assistant coach at the Air Force Academy. Participants will be introduced to the history of fencing, weapons, target areas and fencing technique. This unique sport teaches competition, respect and self-discipline in a safe and fun environment.
School break camps keep your kids active and learning new skills and techniques through the fantastic mental and physical sport of fencing. Camps are designed for participants of all skill levels. Beginners will understand the fundamentals of fencing after one week of practice. Coaches will provide level-appropriate instruction for all progressive fencers, and more advanced fencers will refine fundamentals, learn new techniques and develop more effective competitive strategies. All necessary fencing equipment will be provided. Participants should wear comfortable shoes and clothing. The use of all equipment is included in the class.
